Battles
- Online worlds are ready for Sinnoh's partner walks, where two wild Pokemon appear at once and your partner fights by its own tactics.
Kanto
- The Vermilion, Saffron and Cinnabar marts now sell TMs, and Celadon Department Store's TM counter stocks every TM after eight badges.
Hoenn
- The Slateport, Fortree and Sootopolis marts now sell TMs, and Lilycove Department Store's second TM clerk opens after eight badges.
- TM prices and stock at Lilycove Department Store and Slateport's TM stall have changed.
Interface
- The game re-extracts your Emerald and FireRed carts once after this update, and the game files get smaller (Settings > Game Data).
- Sinnoh opens past Floaroma: Route 205, Valley Windworks and Commander Mars, and a Drifloon that only visits on Fridays.
- TMs in a shop show the type of the move they teach. A TM you cannot buy yet is greyed out and says what unlocks it.
- In Sinnoh, slather Honey on a sweet-smelling tree and come back about six hours later: a wild Pokemon may be waiting.
Fixes
- Poke Mart clerks in Hoenn and Kanto open their shop again, and say goodbye when you leave the counter.
- The ten Honey the Floaroma Meadow gives now stay in your bag after you log out.
- Legendary encounters, the Cable Car, Wally's catching lesson, Steven's tag battle, Rock Smash and the bedroom PC finish properly again.
- Selling an item the shop does not take no longer loses it: the clerk says no and the item stays in your bag.
- Losing to a lone wild Pokemon such as the Electrodes in the Aqua Hideout no longer counts it as beaten; it waits there for a rematch.
